Sternhall Times: July
From our pharmacy team
As the days get longer and the sun shines brighter, it’s important to prioritize your health and wellbeing to make the most of the glorious weather. Please see the tips and advice to stay safe and healthy over the summer months.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and avoiding the peak heat by staying indoors or seeking shade.
- Protect your skin with sunscreen of at least SPF 30, applied 15 minutes before going to outdoors and reapplying every two hours.
- For summer travels, pack a basic first aid kit and consider travel insurance.
- Manage allergies by monitoring pollen forecasts and using over the counter antihistamines or nasal sprays. Visit the Met Office website for more information on the pollen count
- Stay active with outdoor activities and eat fresh, seasonal produce . If you’re on medication, ensure you have enough for your vacations and order refills in advance.
